Creating the Blog... making babies...

So this is the story... Thom, my husband, had Avery and Reid from his previous marriage. We had Braden on February 16, 2008. He weighed 9lbs. at birth and was born at 37 weeks. He had colic really bad until he was 3 months, but now he is the happiest baby ever and almost a year old.

I got my most recent positive pregnancy test on December 1, 2008. It was unusually dark for being 10 days post ovulation, at least we thought so... Everything has been different about this pregnancy so far... I have not been very sick, I have been CONSTANTLY hungry, and I have been feeling like maybe I wasn't going to stay pregnant... I had my first ultrasound on January 8th. Thom was out of town for training for his job, so I asked my sister to come... just in case things weren't ok. The closer it got to ultrasound day, the more nervous I got. I was just about in a panic on the way to the doctor. We got right in and I tried to call Thom so he could be on the phone, but the tech said I was not allowed to make any calls because it would interfere with the machine. The ultrasound was trans-vaginal because I was only 8weeks 6days along. She got started with the ultrasound and as soon as you could see anything, you could see that there were TWO!! The tech said, "there are two!" and I said, "Holy SHIT!!" Then the tech said holy shit! Then she told me to call Thom... Amie and I were crying and SO excited, yet in total disbelief. Thom was also in shock!
After a lot of "holy shitting" all day... and waking up thinking it was all a dream... it is finally sinking in. We are really excited and feel like we won the baby lotto!! I have to walk past the ultrasound picture about 100 times a day and make sure it's my name on the top... just to make sure it's real!!
